Over this magical two week period at Chateau Orquevaux, I explored the four elements of matter: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. I would begin by building an altar with various items pertaining to the element I was working with that day. I played with Koshi chimes for sound, which are already created to correspond with the elements. I followed my curiosity and moved to writing inspired by the elements by Elizabeth Snowden. As I created in communication with her words, I mapped out my movement through space via drawings made with watercolor pencils. Some poetry was also produced during this process. The movement art works were filmed at the end of this two week period and are very much still works in progress.

I will also share below an impromptu movement are creation that was inspired from paint drippings on the wall, left from an artist who previously worked in the studio I was assigned. I connected a PlantWave device to a Rose, which then generated sound from the electrical conductivity within the plant.
